First meeting with Community at Tsigmil, MCDFI office

The Manda Community Development Foundation Inch (MCDFI) has taken a significant step toward local empowerment following a pivotal meeting held on January 2, 2026. Chaired by the Founder and Chairman Mr. Roy Nunts Daggy, the session at Tsigmil, MCDF Main Office brought together community leaders, professionals, and local contributors to finalize the organization’s executive structure and plan for its official opening.

The primary focus of the meeting was the formalization of the Foundation to ensure its recognition as a legal and financial entity. Key outcomes of the meeting included:

  • An interim executive committee was established to facilitate the opening of the Foundation’s bank account and manage immediate operations.
  • Construction of the MCDF office is slated for completion by the end of May. Additionally, the Foundation's official website (www.mcdfi.org) is currently in development.
  • The community reached a consensus to host an event to launch the foundation and opened the new office with the year. The date is yet to be confirmed by the interim executives
  • The Foundation will initiate a baseline data collection project—utilizing house-to-house visits and digital mapping—to accurately identify the specific needs of Manda households before the launch.

During the session, Mr. Daggy addressed the members and professionals present with a clear vision for the Foundation’s identity and future:

"The building must not be referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Daggy's private house, but as the Manda Community Development Foundation Office, belonging to the people of Manda."

"The foundation is created because waiting for government support has taken too long. All elites must unite to bring services to the community."

"Future support will mainly come from donors and aid organizations, not political sources. We need a properly established office, a registered bank account, and a recognized organizational structure."

"Baseline data involves house-to-house visits to classify households, identify needs, and group community members for planning. It is very important and must be in place before we launch the office."
