The Foundation is pleased to announce that it has successfully opened its official business account with Credit Corporation Bank at the Waigani Branch.
This achievement marks a critical step forward in the Foundation’s ability to manage community-based projects and rural livelihood initiatives effectively.
The opening of the account follows a period of rigorous coordination with bank compliance teams. MCDFI Treasurer, Mr. Rodney Wumbe Kos, confirmed that the account is now fully operational after meeting all necessary regulatory requirements.
The Foundation specifically chose Credit Corporation Bank for its flexible requirements.
Addressing the timeline of the account opening, Chairman Mr. Roy Nunts Daggy noted that previous delays were primarily due to administrative hurdles regarding signatories and board structures. To overcome these challenges and ensure the Foundation remained on track, an interim executive committee was appointed to spearhead the process.
"The appointment of our interim executives was a strategic move to ensure we met banking standards promptly," said Mr. Daggy. "I want to personally thank the interim team for their tireless cooperation and dedication. This is a significant achievement that allows us to move forward with our mission."
With the account now active, MCDFI is reinforcing its commitment to our donors and the Manda community. To maintain the highest levels of financial integrity, a dual-signatory system has been established. This ensures that every transaction is verified and jointly authorized by both the Chairperson and the Treasurer.
